Mobitex worldwide
Ericsson developed the Mobitex technology. Globally, Mobitex is one of Ericsson's most profitable activities. It is a top-quality technology that gives business users mobile data communication capabilities. More than 30 Mobitex networks are already up and running in various countries. More and more new implementations are occurring all the time. That is why hardware and software developers are enormously interested in the technology.

Mobitex operators are united in the Mobitex Operators Association (MOA). Various new possibilities are under development within MOA. The association provides source codes to hardware and software manufacturers. This keeps hardware and software for Mobitex widely available and ensures that manufacturers regularly develop new applications.

Mobitex network in the Benelux
Mobitex was the first packet-switching mobile network in the Benelux. RAM Mobile Data owns the Mobitex network. We have been operating the Mobitex network since 1993, providing nationwide coverage across the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. The network is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by the RAM Navigator Center. Backup connections have been installed so we offer real available guarantees.
